01 · Just beneath

Your rules of thumb got you here. Each one, at some point, solved a real problem.

Some you wrote. Some were issued: by a family, a profession, an old ambition. Most days they cooperate. Some days two of them give opposite instructions at the same moment.

02 · Deeper

The same problem returns at work, in love, in ambition. The situations change. It does not.

That is the one honest test of any practice like this: whether your problems change, or only your situations.

03 · The method

You cannot argue with a rule of thumb. You can examine its explanation.

Your desire lives in the explanation of a rule. It can live misunderstood, oppressed, or as a protagonist. Sessions focus on:

  1. Understanding conflicting ideas (problems).

  2. Getting a grip on each rule's explanation.

  3. Taking control of the role your desire plays in it.
